Dear Twistedillusion, Please do not lower yourself to the standards XY was trying to provoke you to. YOU hold the power to delete their posting. Miss Teri is right, 3yrs is too long. You should be able to access pro bono legal resources and advocacy to help win your disability. You may then be able to receive benefits for the children as the dependents of a disabled parent. See: http://www.ssa.gov and read up. Also you may wish to check the following link which will list resources in your area. http://www.volunteermat ch.org/bymsa/m3760/c8/org1.htm l I know that was a strange way to find the organizations, but effective nonetheless. Since you are without income, I am assuming you have a partner helping you out. If this is the case, you may wish to consider having her apply for a grant for home ownership thru: http://www.partnersinch arity.org as part of your goal of stability. Blessings, Elaine

I am sorry that someone posted a bad message on here for you. I know how it is to live with someone with Bipolar, my sister suffers for it too. My mom had to fight for ssi after her back was fussed she had to get a lawyer and fight for it but she got it. I don't understand why people who don't need it get it faster like drug users. It's not right and really should be looked at by are congress men and woman. I wish you the best of luck and hope that maybe some of this helped

XY your post really can't be for real...can it? That was the most ludicrous advice I have seen given in a long time. Here she is telling about all of the severe disabilities going on within her household and you are actually trying make a pass at her. I didn't know whether or not to laugh or cry or both. First of all before you chastise anyone out here, you need to handle your own issues. We are here to help one another, not to bring anyone down. I do give "reality checks" but it is followed by advice and it is not meant to hurt anyone. Now on to real issues, twiztedillusion have you tried getting assistance for your children through social services? Also, you may want to contact the United Way to see if they can direct you into finding help within your household. Follow-up on your disability case. Three years is a long time.
